Overview of Preschool Programs

The Lake County Historical Society is proud to announce our
New Preschool Road Show! We bring our stories and supplies to you! Our preschool programs are designed for children ages 3-6. They all involve hands on activities, and can be customized to meet your needs. Programs must be booked at least two weeks in advance.

Quilts Tell A Story

Pioneers used quilts for much more than just keeping warm. Learn about the different patterns pioneers used, how quilts were sewn together, and make your very own paper quilt to take home! (ages 3-6; 60 minutes)

4 Seasons of Pioneer Travel

From Sleighs in winter to covered wagons, this is a great program to teach children about how pioneers traveled during all 4 seasons. Students will make their own 4 season travel journal with a fully-dressed Pioneer! (Ages
3-6; 60 minutes)

Little Indians

Our very Own Professor Whittlsey will come to you! Children will learn what an Archeologist does, and what an artifact is by participating in an archeological dig! They will also hear tales of Indian legends, and make a
