Library and Collection Donations
The Society is continually adding to its collection and archives through donations from the community. To be considered, the items being donated must have some connection with Lake County. Items may be accepted into the permanent collection, or if they replicate another collection item, may be used by the youth education department in working with children. Types of items sought include, but are not limited to:
Early photos of the community |
Maps |
School year books |
Letters, diaries, scrapbooks, business records, photos |
Items manufactured in Lake County |
Lake County event memorabilia and photos |
Antique clothing, household or farm items |
Antique vehicles |
Prior to donating an object, please contact the Center to speak with a collections coordinator or contact the Library Resource Manager. All donors receive a tax deductible letter for their donation; however, the Society does not apply a value. That is the responsibility of the donor.
